02 — How it works

Five steps, then you forget it's there

No configuration files and no new commands to learn. TokenSaver runs next to your assistant and keeps its picture of the project current.

  1. 1

    Install

Run the Windows installer, open the app and sign in.

    A few minutes
  2. 2

    Pick a project folder

Choose the folder you work on. The first map is built on your PC; you can follow the progress on the Dashboard.

Seconds to minutes, depending on size
  3. 3

    Connect your assistant

Open AI Connections and press Connect next to the assistants you use. Restart them once so they pick up the change.

    One click per assistant
  4. 4

    Tell it your rules

In Notebooks › House rules write what an assistant must never do, one rule per line — “Never touch the customer data folder”. Every assistant you connect receives them at every job and asks before crossing one. They stay inside TokenSaver, not in your project.

    Optional, one minute
  5. 5

    Work as usual

Ask your questions the way you always do. The assistant consults the map and your rules first, and leaves short notes on what it changed and why.

    Nothing new to learn

On your machine

The map is built and stored locally, protected at rest. Your source code is not uploaded.

Only what you allow

Excluded folders stay out of the map; private folders are refused to every assistant.

Always your call

Pause at any time. Suggestions to exclude folders are only suggestions until you accept them.
